Joint stamp issue between Iran and Pakistan

Iran released a joint stamp issue to strengthen the relations between the two Muslim neighboring countries.

The stamps depict the image of Milad Tower (Iran) and Minar e Lahore (Pakistan).

Milad Tower is the tallest tower in Iran. Built in between the Shahrak-e Gharb and Gisha districts of Tehran, it stands 435 m high from base to tip of the antenna. Milad Tower is the sixth tallest tower in the world after the Guangzhou TV & Sightseeing Tower in Guangzhou, CN Tower in Toronto, Ostankino Tower in Moscow, the Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai, and the Tokyo Sky Tree, still under construction.

Minar e Lahore (Minar-e-Pakistan) is a tall minaret in Iqbal Park Lahore, built in commemoration of the Pakistan Resolution. The monument attracts visitors from all over Pakistan, as well as the inhabitants of the Walled City of Lahore. The large public space around the monument is commonly used for political and public meetings, whereas Iqbal Park area is popular among kite-flyers. The base of the tower is about 8 meters above the ground. The tower rises about 60 meters on the base, thus the total height of minaret is about 72 meters above the ground.
